The Community Enhancement Programme for 2020 is now open for applications. The closing date is 3pm on Friday 25th of September 2020.
The application form and guidelines are available on the Kildare County Council website at the following link:

The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) 2019 was recently launched by the Department of Rural and Community Development. This programme provides funding to community/voluntary sector organisations to progress capital projects based in or targeting disadvantaged communities. Examples include: office equipment, development/renovation of community centres, community amenities, youth clubs/facilities, sports/recreation facilities.

A number of Big Hello events are taking place across Kildare over the May bank holiday weekend. “The Big Hello” supports communities to host events in their local area in order to strengthen community ties and help tackle the problem of social isolation. Events across Kildare are as follows:
The South Western Regional Drugs and Alcohol Task Force launched a new website targeting young people who use or are at risk of using cannabis: www.cannabisandyou.ie. The website is an interactive tool for young cannabis users to encourage them to consider their use and make the changes that they decide.
