A new national Communities Facilities Scheme was recently launched by the Department of Housing, Planning, Community & Local Government. This Scheme offers community groups access to capital funding in order to kick-start, advance or complete their capital projects. In Kildare the scheme targets community groups and not for project organisations working with:
– Disadvantaged Young People
– Disadvantaged Men
Projects or elements of projects of a capital nature may be funded for e.g. office equipment, project resources, research facilities, energy efficiency equipment.
Five project grants in total will be awarded across Kildare to a maximum of €13,000 per project (one for each Municipal District)
