The South Western Regional Drugs and Alcohol Task Force launched a new website targeting young people who use or are at risk of using cannabis: www.cannabisandyou.ie. The website is an interactive tool for young cannabis users to encourage them to consider their use and make the changes that they decide.
Ed Sipler, Health Development Specialist and author of Cannabis and You information resource was the key note speaker at the launch which took place in the Killashee House Hotel in Naas on Monday 11th of March 2019. The launch was very well attended and included representation from Kildare LCDC, CYPSC, Foróige Drug Prevention & Education Initiative (DPEI), an Garda Síochána, Kildare Youth Services, Extern, Youthreach, Secondary School Career Guidance Counsellors and Chaplains.
Funding for this initiative came through Kildare LCDC/CYPSC through Healthy Ireland.
