An allocation of €148,013 has been confirmed for 27 local projects in Kildare.  The funding will support capital projects/equipment to enhance facilities and towards costs associated with reopening or sustainability of facilities impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic.  The projects include facilities such as community centres, parish halls and youth centres.

Applications were sought by Kildare’s Local Community Development Committee from community groups in Kildare who assessed the applications based on the two levels of funding available – small scale applications of up to €2,000 and larger scale applications of up to €10,000.

The Community Enhancement Programme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the funding for the projects in Kildare will be administered by Kildare County Council via the Kildare Local Community Development Committee.
